Brick Golfer Wojciechowski Commits To Sacred Heart, Wins Girls' OCT
The Dragons' senior has been making her mark on the local golf scene since her freshman year.
It was a big week for Chrissie Wojciechowski.
First the Brick Township High School golfer finalized her college decision, signing a national letter of intent on Wednesday to continue her studies and her golf career at Sacred Heart University.
On Thursday, the senior became the first champion of the Ocean County Girls Golf Tournament from Brick High School, shooting an 87 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood and winning the title by two shots.

Wojciechowski has been making her mark in the Shore Conference since her freshman year, when she took sixth at the OCT to be the first Brick girl to place in the top 10 at the tournament. She was 15th at the Shore Conference Tournament and the only freshman girl to qualify that year. Last year, she took second at the OCT.
Wojciechowski, who plays on Brick’s boys golf team, told the Asbury Park Press the title was something she had wanted her entire high school career.

“This has been my dream since freshman year to come out here and win this,’’ she said. “It has been motivation because I know I can put up good enough numbers. I’ve gotten better. It’s been my motivation to come out here and play well.’’
Next up is the Shore Conference Tournament on April 27. Wojciechowski tied for fourth at the SCT last year. And she will have some company this time as Brick teammate Teresa Williams qualified as well, shooting a 103 and finishing tied for 10th at the OCT.
“Last year was just an overall amazing experience playing with some of the best golfers from Monmouth County,’’ she told the Asbury Park Press. ”It motivates me to do better this year.’’
