The school district began the 2023-24 budget presentation faced with a $2.5 million state aid cut under S2, but subsequent responses from state Sen. Vin Gopal and other legislators resulted in the passing of a bill to reduce the aid cuts.

For Brick, that change, called emergency supplemental state aid, is $1,677,892. The school budget hearing will detail the changes resulting from that extra aid.
