Brick Hiring Crossing Guards For Schools, Summer

The township is seeking substitute guards to assist with the schools, and summer guards for beach crossings.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township officials are seeking crossing guards for the school year and for the summer beach season.

Substitute school crossing guards are paid $21 per hour. "The position entails assisting and protecting children at intersections, directing traffic, responding to inquiries from the public, and keeping records," the township said.

The substitute crossing guard for schools is a part-time, per diem position.

The summer crossing guards assist residents on the barrier island, ensuring our beachgoing residents cross Route 35 safely.

The summer guards are seasonal, full-time positions from May through September, and candidates must be available for weekend work. Starting salary is $15 per hour.
