Brick Honors Public Safety Telecommunicators
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week honors those who answer the calls to 9-1-1 and direct help to where it's needed.
BRICK, NJ -- When you dial 9-1-1, they are the calm voices on the other end, asking what you need, sending help your way.
They are the voices who reassure you that help is coming, and stay with on the phone with you until help arrives.
And this week, public safety telecommunicators -- the folks who answer 9-1-1 calls across the country -- are being recognized for the critical services they provide to their communities.
