The man allegedly told Florida sheriff's deputies that he didn't need to be told how to raise his kids.

BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township man is being held in a Florida jail, accused of choking his 9-year-old daughter and then telling authorities he didn't need anyone to tell him how to raise his kids, according to reports.
Scott W. Alino, 47, of Brick, was arrested Tuesday night, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and is charged with neglect of a child without great bodily harm.
CBS4 in Miami reported employees of the Hogfish Bar on Stock Island in the Florida Keys and other witnesses told authorities they saw Alino drag the girl out of the restaurant and choke her in the parking lot.

The sheriff's officers allege Alino told authorities his daughter was misbehaving and he "placed his hand on her shoulder and neck area in an attempt to calm her down," the New York Daily News reported. Alino is alleged to have told authorities that he did not need anyone telling him how to raise his children.
Alino was being held without bail in the Monroe County jail, according to the sheriff's department website.
