During the course of an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad and Brick Township Police Department Detective Bureau, a forensic examination of Fay’s cellular phone was performed by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad.

That examination led to the discovery of a video depicting child sexual abuse material and Fay was charged on Oct. 16. He surrendered himself to Brick Township police and was taken to the Ocean County Jail and released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.
