Brick Man Charged In Assault Had Drugs Hidden In Buttocks: Police

The drugs were discovered during a routine search at the Monmouth County jail, authorities said.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Brick Township man is facing drug possession charges after Monmouth County Corrections personnel found five packages of suboxone concealed "within his buttocks," according to a criminal complaint.

Joshua P. Adamo, 32, of Schindler Drive, Brick, was being booked into the Monmouth County jail in connection with an aggravated assault in Howell when the suboxone was discovered during a routine processing search, according to the criminal complaint released by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Monmouth County Corrections records online show Adamo is charged with aggravated assault, third-degree criminal mischief for causing damage, resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law in the Howell incident. Details on that incident were not available.

His bail is set at $70,000 on the Howell charges and at $7,500 on the suboxone possession charge, according to jail records.
