TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Brick Township man has been charged in connectin with a string of car burglaries that happened in Toms River in late May, Toms River police said Tuesday.
Marquise Brian Harris, 23, of Brick, was arrested June 2 by Detective Mark Bajada and Officer Krzysztof Kowalczyk, Toms River Police Department spokesman Ralph Stocco said.
Harris was charged in connection with what Stocco said were "numerous" burglaries in the early morning hours of May 26 in the Walnut Street area of town.

Harris was identified thanks to several tips received after the department shared surveillance photos on the department’s Facebook page, Stocco said.
As a reminder, residents should always lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight or bring them inside your home, as often the break-ins occur when thieves open unlocked vehicle doors.
