Brick Man Charged With Cocaine Distribution After Raid: Police
Karon Reid, a former star wrestler, was previously charged with distribution in 2014, according to reports.

BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township man is facing cocaine distribution charges after a search warrant was executed at his home early Wednesday, Brick police said.
Karon Reid, 27, of Kitty Court in the Evergreen Woods condominium complex, was arrested after the raid, which occurred about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Capt. Vincent Pacitti of the department's community policing unit said.
The Brick Township Drug Enforcement Unit, along with members of the Brick Township Special Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a Kitty Court residence following an investigation involving the distribution of quantities of cocaine being distributed throughout the Brick Township area, Pacitti said.

The investigation and a search of the residence lead to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, and $624 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity, he said.
Reid, who was a state place-winning wrestler for Brick Memorial High School (he finished third at the 2007 NJSIAA championships) and a junior college all-American, was charged with possession with intent to distribute CDS (cocaine) less than one-half ounce, possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and distributing, dispensing or possession within 500 feet of certain public property, Pacitti said. Reid previously was charged with cocaine distribution in June 2014 after a series of raids.
Reid is being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $80,000 bail, set by Municipal Court Judge Grisanti.
