Brick Man Charged With Cocaine Distribution: Police

The man was arrested early Friday morning after a joint investigation by Brick and Toms River law enforcement.

BRICK, NJ -- A Brick Township man was arrested early Friday morning on cocaine distribution charges after a months-long investigation, police said.

Brick Sgt. Neal Pedersen said members of the township's Drug Enforcement Unit and the Toms River Police Deparment's Special Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on the 100 block of Primrose Lane, assisted by the Brick Township SERT Team.

Primrose Lane is across Lanes Mill Road from Lanes Mill Elementary School.

Arrested was Ronald Hagan, age 40, Pedersen said. The arrest was the result of a joint operation between Brick and Toms River that spanned several months, he said.

Police seized crack cocaine and cocaine in the townhouse at the time the warrant was executed, Pedersen said.

Hagan is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute 5 ounces or more, possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute less than one-half ounce, and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone, Pedersen said.

Hagan is being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $250,000 cash bail as set by Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels, he said.
