Brick Man Charged With Conspiracy, 200 Heroin Folds Seized

MANCHESTER, NJ — A Brick Township man and a Beachwood woman are facing multiple drug charges following a motor vehicle stop on Route 37, Manchester police said.

Amanda Robinson, 27, of Beachwood and Jahad Evans, 40, of Brick, both were charged following the stop on April 18 on Route 37 near Colonial Drive, Manchester Lt. Vincent Manco said.

Members of the Manchester Police Narcotics Enforcement Team saw a vehicle in the area of County Routes 547 and 571 and pulled it over. During the investigation, a search of the vehicle turned up multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia, Manco said.

Robinson, who was the passenger, was arrested, and when she was taken to police headquarters, police found 200 bags of heroin with a street value of $900 in her possession, he said.

Robinson was charged with one count each of possession and possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession of paraphernalia, and loitering to distribute CDS, Manco said. She was released on a summons.

Evans was charged with conspiracy to possess heroin and a complaint warrant issued, Manco said.

Also assisting in the investigation were members of the Manchester Township Police K9 Unit.
