Brick Man Groped Teen at Diner During Job Interview: Police

BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township man has been charged with criminal sexual contact after he reportedly groped a teenage girl during a job interview at a local diner, police said.

Benjamin Kuklo, 52, of Arizona Drive, was arrested Tuesday, Lt. Vincent Pacitti said.

The arrest was the result of an investigation that began when a 16-year-old girl from Brick reported to police that she went to Bennie's Diner on Mantoloking Road for a job interview, Pacitti said. The victim told police that during the course of the interview, Kuklo touched her inappropriately, Pacitti said.

"Based on the victim’s statements to the detectives, they were able to obtain a warrant for Kuklo’s arrest," he said. The warrant was signed by Municipal Court administrator Michele Edgin, and Kuklo's bail was set at $2,500 with no 10 percent option, he said.

Kuklo was processed and released after he posted bail, Pacitti said.

Police are asking anyone who has been the subject of any type of inappropriate contact with Kuklo or anyone at Bennie’s Diner to contact Detective Tara Schinder at 732-262-1120.
