Brick Man Indicted After Allegedly Hitting, Injuring Driver With Car While Drunk

Nicholas J. Graf was indicted on April 15 on assault-by-auto charges, according to court records.

A 30-year-old Brick man was drunk when he injured another driver with his car in Wall last summer, authorities said.

Graf drove a vehicle recklessly on July 14 and struck an “L.B.,” according to court records.

In July, Wall Township police charged Graf with drunk driving and assault by auto after he rear-ended another car in the midst of a four-car accident, police said.

Graf was arrested after police investigated a chain-reaction motor vehicle crash with one injury on State Highway 35 and Tarpon Drive, police said.

Police say Graf rear ended a vehicle in front of him with his 2014 Ford pickup truck, causing the larger accident.

The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Wall EMS with a head injury that was not life threatening. The injured driver was a 21 year-old Pompano Beach, Fla. resident.
