Brick Man Pleads Guilty To Cocaine Distribution
Carlos Sanchez, 40, had cocaine, oxycodone, a synthetic psychoactive drug and $32,000 in cash when he was busted in 2016, authorities said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Brick Township man has pleaded guilty to drug distribution charges in connection with a 2016 drug investigation that led to the seizure of 133 grams of cocaine and other drugs, the Ocean County prosecutor's office announced Tuesday.
Carlos Sanchez, 40, of Brick Township, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute before Superior Court Judge Rochelle Gizinski on Friday, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer sadi. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 19, and Billhimer said the sentence recommendation will be 9 years in state prison with 4-1/2 years of parole ineligibilty.
Sanchez was arrested Feb. 4, 2016 when authorities executed a search warrant at his home following an investigation that was conducted over several weeks by the prosecutor’s office Narcotics Strike Force and members of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Authorities seized about 133 grams of cocaine, nearly 200 grams of butylone (a synthetic stimulant psychoactive drug), an unspecified quantity of oxycodone, a small amount of marijuana, and about $32,000 in cash.
Billhimer thanked Supervising Assistant Prosecutor William Porter and Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Burke, along with the Narcotics Strike Force, the DEA and its Regional SWAT Team, police from Brick Township, Jackson Township, South Toms River and Toms River, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.
