Brick Man Who Ran Across Four-Lane Road To Escape Traffic Warrant Arrested: Police
A Lakewood police officer was injured while chasing the man; he was later caught in Howell, police said.

Lakewood, NJ -- A Brick Township man who ran when police tried to arrest him in connection with an outstanding traffic warrant has been apprehended, Lakewood police said.
Justin Schneider, 26, had been sought after a July 7 incident where he ran after Lakewood police stopped a group of men who were walking along Country Club Drive while investigating a complaint of suspicious activity, police said.
When the arrest warrant was discovered, Schneider ran across four lanes of traffic on County Line Road and escaped when he disappeared into a residential neighborhood, police said.

Lakewood Officer Kevin Seunath cut his arm jumping over a 6-foot chain-link fence during the chase; the injury required medical attention, police said.
Schneider, who had been wanted on a traffic warrant out of East Orange, was arrested July 8 by Howell Township police, Lakewood police said.

Schneider is being held at the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail on charges of resisting arrest by flight, aggravated assault on a police officer and obstruction.
