Brick Offers Free Rabies Clinic In January

BRICK, NJ — If you have pets who need their rabies shots updated before you renew their license, Brick Township will be holding its annual rabies shot clinic on Jan. 13.

The shots are free. Licenses will not be available at the site, however.

The clinic is held at the Drum Point Sports Complex and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

Brick Township ordinance requires licenses for all dogs and cats 7 months of age or older, with a rabies vaccination that is valid through Nov. 1 of the licensing year.

One-year and three-year licenses are available. Licenses for pets that have not been spayed or neutered are an additional $3 per year, a fee imposed by for population control by the State of New Jersey.

Licenses may be obtained either by mail or at the Municipal Building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clerk’s office accepts credit card (no Amex), cash or check payable to the "Township of Brick." If requesting by mail, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

LICENSE FEES:

• One year spayed/neutered animal: $10
• One year non spayed/neutered animal: $13
• Three year spayed/neutered animal: $26
• Three year non spayed/neutered animal: $35

Licenses must be obtained by Jan. 31. Afterward, a late fee of $1 per month is imposed.
