Brick Officials Accepting Comment On Grant Plans
Residents may speak out on the town's plans for its Community Block Development Grant funding for the next five years

Brick Township officials are reminding residents that they have until March 16 to comment on the township’s plans for funding it receives under the federal Community Block Development Grant program.
The township’s Department of Community Development has drafted its 5-year Consolidated Plan and 2015 Action Plan for funding, which the township receives through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Comment is welcolmed on the content of both plans, which will direct funds for housing and non-housing activities in-line with HUD CDBG rules and regulations.

Written comments can be submitted via email to township planner Michael Fowler at mfowler@twp.brick.nj.us, or by U.S. mail to 401 Chambers Bridge Rd., Brick, NJ 08723.
Comments must be received no later than March 16, 2015.

At the Feb. 3 Township Council meeting, more than $40,000 in CBDG funding was awarded to nonprofit organizations that assist the needy, such as Meals on Wheels and Dottie’s House.
