Brick PBA Hosts Basketball Game To Give Ailing Boy, Family A Helping Hand
The township's Police Benevolent Association is marking its 25th annual fundraiser.

For the 25th year. the Brick Township Policemen’s Benevolent Association is holding its annual Helping Hands Benefit Basketball Game.
The game, set this year for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27 against members of the Brick Township Green Dragons football team, raises funds for a family facing financial hardship due to a child’s serious illness. This year, the proceeds of the game will go to the family of Ryan Magnotta, to help them care for their son.
Ryan, who is 10 years old, was diagnosed with a pancreatic disease known as hereditary chronic pancreatitis when he was 5 years old. Over the years, he has been in and out of hospitals, undergoing multiple procedures, and he lives with a feeding tube on a daily basis. His pain and discomfort are constant. And the family has a substantial amount of medical debt that continues to increase.
