Brick Pedestrian Killed In Thanksgiving Accident Identified
Police say Bryan Harnik, 40, died at the scene of the accident, which happened about 8:30 p.m.

A Brick Township man who was struck and killed on Thanksgiving night while crossing Brick Boulevard on foot has been identified by authorities.
Bryan Harnik, 40, died at the scene, Brick Township Sgt. Neal Pederesen said Wednesday.
Harnik was crossing Brick Boulevard a few hundred feet north of the intersection with Chambersbridge Road about 8:30 p.m. when he was hit by a 1999 Toyota Camry driven by a 75-year-old Toms River woman, Pedersen said.

The Camry was southbound on Brick Boulevard at the time and hit Harnik in the middle lane, Pedersen said.
No charges have been filed in the accident.

Patrolman Michael Demaio, Patrolman Michael Zolezi and Patrolman James Bartolucci responded to the initial call; Pedersen and Patroman Scott Dierking from the Traffic Safety Unit responded to the scene for further investigation, Pedersen said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Traffic Safety Unit at 732-262-1140.
