Brick Police Accepting Registration For Summer Police Camp

The youth police camp is open to children ages 11 to 13 and participants are chosen by a lottery system.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department are offering a six-day youth camp for children ages 11 to 13. Enrollment in this popular program is limited and selection is done through a lottery.

Camp activities include physical training, military etiquette, K-9 interactions, team building exercises, positive interaction with police officers from all different units within the Brick Township Police Department. There is simulated police pursuit driving and trips to other police agencies. The police camp graduation ceremony is held during the Annual Night Out Against Crime celebration.

Campers must be able to perform rigorous physical activities and adhere to strict disciplinary policies. They are required to wear khaki shorts or slacks and sneakers. T-shirts and hats will be provided. Campers must bring their own lunch.

Registration is free.

The camp will be held Monday, July 30 through Tuesday, Aug. 7. Register in the police department until May 11.
