Brick Police, Firefighters Rescue Ducklings From Storm Drain

When the just-hatched ducklings fell in the storm drain, they needed a helping hand.

BRICK, NJ — While some dads were relaxing or maybe flexing their grilling muscles, some of Brick's firefighters and police were showing their rescue skills, helping to save some ducklings.

Stephanie Furth of Brick shared video of Brick Police Officer John Rotundo and firefighters from the Laurelton Fire Department, who were called to come out and rescue ducklings early Father's Day morning.

"These baby ducks were just born and all fell down the (storm drain)," Furth said by email. "These guys are awesome. All are reunited with the mom. Thank you!!!!"
