Brick Police Holding Information Session For New Youth Program

The Public Safety Cadets program replaces the Police Explorers and offers new elements for youth interested in law enforcement.

BRICK, NJ — High school students who are interested in a career in law enforcement are invited to a program on Thursday, Jan. 17, hosted by Brick Township police on a new program.

The program, called Public Safety Cadets, replaces the Police Explorers program.

"We now offer a new and improved program for young people aspiring to leadership, community service, and public safety roles," the department said in an announcement on Facebook.

Thursday's event, which begins at 6 p.m. at the municipal building, is a recruitment event for those interested. Sign-ups will be held in the Professional Standards Unit, located on the downstairs floor of the municipal building, at 401 Chambers Bridge Road. Refreshments will be served.

The youth program is open those ages 14 to 21.
