Brick Police Investigate Lake Riviera Middle School Threat
Brick police say they searched the home of a middle school student reportedly heard making firearm threats.

BRICK, NJ — A Lake Riviera Middle School student was charged Wednesday with making terroristic threats, Brick police report, but the school is not in any immediate danger.
The Brick Township Police Department reported on Facebook that a Lake Riviera student overheard another student making “suspicious statements” involving a firearm. The student, whom police say was uninvolved with the threats, told their parent, who contacted police. Detectives worked with school officials to identify the suspect, and then searched the suspect’s home.
Police did not find any firearms at the home, except a pellet gun belonging to the suspect’s guardian. Police said they took the pellet gun for safe keeping with the permission of the other.
