Brick Police Seek ID In Copper Pipe Theft

The man's actions were captured on surveillance video, police said.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man seen on video stealing copper piping from a Brick Township business.

The theft happened during the early hours of Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Brick Heating and Cooling, 465 Brick Boulevard, Sgt. Neal Pedersen said.

The video shows the suspect arriving at 5:32 a.m. and cutting the locks on storage trailers at the business, Pedersen said.

The man then loaded his white van with 10-foot lengths of copper piping, he said.

The van then was seen leaving by driving through the Truck Land parking lot and out the rear exit onto Jackson Avenue, Pedersen said.

The van's rear doors were open when the suspect left due to the long lengths of copper sticking out of the rear of the van, described as a white-full size van with a round bubble window on the side, he said.

Pedersen said the copper is valued at more than $500.
