Brick Police, Sheriff's Officers Converge On Home; Investigation Continuing

Authorities say no arrests have been made in connection with the situation in the Laurel Brook development and the investigation is ongoing.

BRICK, NJ — An investigation that led to a large law enforcement presence in a Brick Township neighborhood on Wednesday is ongoing, authorities said Thursday.

Authorities declined to release any information about the incident that led to a large contingent of Brick Township police and officers from the Ocean County Sheriff's Department converging on a home on Laurel Brook Drive.

Brick Township police on Wednesday said they were asked to assist the sheriff's department with a matter on Laurel Brook Drive and referred a reporter to the sheriff's department for more information.

The sheriff's department on Thursday morning declined to provide details, saying that the investigation is continuing and no arrest has been made.

Video shared on social media showed more than 20 vehicles on Laurel Brook Drive west of Court C and access to the streets blocked. It's unclear how long the officers were on the scene.
