Brick Police Spread Holiday Cheer With 'Blue Christmas' Greetings
Getting pulled over by Brick Township police at the holidays brought a pleasant surprise for several motorists recently. See the video.

BRICK, NJ — The holiday is the last time anyone wants to be pulled over by a police officer. But several drivers stopped by Brick Township police recently got a pleasant surprise.
Instead of traffic tickets for headlights or taillights that weren't working, drivers received gift cards to AutoZone and a simple wish for happy holidays.
The Blue Christmas program, which Brick Township Police and Brick PBA Local 230 ran in 2020 during the holiday season as a positive surprise, was brought back for 2021.

The police department shared video of the recent set of traffic stops, which were for equipment violations. No tickets were issued for taillights or headlights that were out.
"It's been a tough couple of years. Last year we tried to do our part in spreading the holiday cheer with our first Blue Christmas. It was such a hit that we decided to do it again this year," the police department said in a Facebook post. "On behalf of the Brick Township Police Department and the Brick PBA Local #230, Merry Christmas, and enjoy our Blue Christmas 2021 video."
