Brick Property Tax Rebates Total $55K So Far, Officials Say
The Buy in Brick reward card program now has more than 40 participating businesses, officials said.

BRICK, NJ -- Brick Township residents have received property tax rebates totalling $55,000 through the Buy In Brick property tax reward card program since the program began in late 2014, township officials said.
That figure was announced as part of a news release seeking to encourage participation of service providers and contractors who are based in Brick in the program.
Through the program, township residents receive a credit on their property tax bill when they spend money at participating businesses.

Township officials say the program has generated more than $735,000 for the more than 40 businesses that currently participate in the program.
In addition to encouraging new businesses to join the Buy in Brick program, township officials are encouraging residents to use businesses in the program for upcoming seasonal projects, noting there are several on the list that sell home improvement items as well as service providers such as builders and electricians.

“All homeowners make a ‘to-do’ list once the warm weather arrives,” Mayor John Ducey said. “By utilizing a participating Buy in Brick business, you get the satisfaction of checking off a project on your list while also receiving a discount on your property taxes.”
The program is open to all Brick Township-based businesses, officials said. Interested businesses should email krella@bricktownship.net or call 732-262-1050.
Buy in Brick Cards are available for residents at Town Hall, 401 Chambersbridge Road, or by emailing your postal address to krella@bricktownship.net.
