Brick Reinstates Midstreams Stop For SummerFest Shuttle
The summer concert series had eliminated one of its shuttle bus stops, but the stop will resume for Thursday's concert.
BRICK, NJ — SummerFest concertgoers will be able to get the shuttle bus at Midstreams Elementary School on Thursday, Brick Township officials announced Tuesday.
The Midstreams stop for the shuttle was reinstated for the remainder of the concerts, officials said in a Facebook post.
The lack of a stop at Midstreams generated a number of negative and frustrated comments on social media after the July 8 concert, when people discovered the shuttle wasn't stopping at the school.

"Many of us in the Midstreams neighborhood walk to the school for the shuttle. Now we will need to drive the opposite way to catch a shuttle from another location, which is counterproductive and will cause more traffic in this area at the end of the night," one commenter wrote.
Thursday's concert is The Nerds. The band has been together since 1985 and has played all over North America. When you attend a Nerds show, you will enjoy an experience of sheer entertainment with what critics call the best cover band in the world. Fireworks follow the concert.

The shuttle buses will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for trips to Windward Beach Park from Brick Township High School, Drum Point Elementary, Midstreams, Veterans Memorial Middle School and Brick Memorial High School. Return trips start about 9 p.m. and continue until everyone has been returned to their shuttle departure points.
Masks are required on the shuttle buses.
There is a food court with a variety of foods, and for those 21 and over, a beer and wine garden. A valid ID is required to enter the beer and wine garden.
