Tell us about your public service (township boards, committees you sit on): Current Brick Township Board of Education member

Any previous elected office (council, school board, etc)? How many years have you served? I'm on my third year of my three-year term on the Brick Township Board of Education.

What conflicts would you have (what won't you be able to vote on) if elected? None.

Tell us about the most important thing you do that has nothing to do with politics or your employment: I love to volunteer for local organizations. Over the years, I have had the privilege to hold the role of the president and several board positions of local Moms' Clubs and PTO/PTAs. I also volunteer my time and dance choreography skills for local performing arts groups, singing groups and theater companies.

What will you do if you are elected to the school board? We need to continue to ensure that every student's individual needs are being addressed. Brick schools need to provide a variety of class offerings and opportunities so that each child can ultimately succeed in whatever path they choose after they graduate high school. I would love to see additional humanities and vocational classes offered in all levels of our schools. The high school fishing program was a great start to thinking outside of the box with traditional classes. I would love to see any practical skills classes as well as hands-on class offerings. Also, we need to get the Ocean County College dual diploma program completed as soon as possible. These types of programs can provide our students a strong foundation to pursue continuing their education past high school.

I will continue to advance and advocate for upgrading safety measures in our facilities to insure the safety of our pupils and staff.
