Brick School Board Budget Hearing: Monday Manual
The township council is set to meet and consider action on a lagoon dredging project, and more.

BRICK, NJ — Welcome to the April 25 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight events coming up during the week in Brick.
The Brick Township Board of Education is set to hold its public hearing and adoption for the 2022-23 school budget at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Professional Development offices on Hendrickson Avenue.
The Brick Township Council will hold its budget hearing at 7 p.m. Tuesday. In addition to the budget hearing, the council is set to hold a public hearing on an ordinance for a special tax assessment on residents in the Nejecho Beach neighborhood to dredge their lagoon.

The special assessment would pay for the bonds of $300,000 expected to be issued by the town to cover the dredging.
Residents have been pushing for the town to dredge the lagoon for several years, and pushing for the town to cover the cost because it had done so 20 years ago. Town officials have said that is financially not possible now.

Planning Board meeting
The Planning Board is set to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday to consider an application for a senior living residence on Route 88. Also on the agenda will be discussion of the town's plan to vacate a 10-foot easement right-of-way at 35 Division St.
