Brick School Board Holding Special Meeting Thursday
The meeting will be at district's central administration building to approve bids, including one for renovation of Brick High School gym.

Brick, NJ -- The Brick Township Board of Education is holding a special meeting on Thursday, July 7, at the district administration building, the board announced.
The purpose of the meeting is for the board to approve bids for two projects: the East Gym renovation at Brick Township High School and door replacement at Brick Memorial High School, Osbornville and Herbertsville elementary schools.
The bids for the projects were being opened Wednesday, according to the agenda for the special meeting that is posted on the district's website.

Interim Superintendent Thomas Gialanella, at last Thursday's school board meeting, said the special meeting was necessary because of the time-sensitive nature of the work, which the district hopes to have completed before school reopens in September.
The special meeting is at noon in the technology training center at the district administration building, 101 Hendrickson Ave., off Van Zile Road.
