Brick School Board Names New Special Services Director

The proposed hire, Kristen Hanson, is the special services director in the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Board of Education approved the hiring of a new special services director at the board's June 28 meeting.

Kristen Hanson, currently the director of special services in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District, was approved to become the new director of special services for the Brick schools. She will replace Colleen Dalrymple, who submitted her resignation in May.

Hanson works for the same district as incoming superintendent Gerard Dalton, who was hired in April and takes over the reins of the district on July 1.

Hanson will start July 1 or later with a salary of $145,225.

According to her Linked In profile, Hanson received her bachelor's degree in psychology and teacher certification in elementary education from Georgian Court University in 1989, and a master's degree from there in school psychology in 1998. She received has a master's degree in educational leadership from Georgian Court in 2016.

She was the director of special services for the Belmar and Bradley Beach elementary school districts from October 2013 until November 2015, when she was hired by the West Windsor schools.
