Brick Schools 2018-19: Back-To-School Nights

BRICK, NJ -- With the start of the 2018-19 school year just days away, the Brick Township School District has released its list of back-to-school nights for the district's 12 schools.

As a reminder, orientations are this week.

Kindergarten orientation at all eight elementary schools is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 (the Warren H. Wolf Pre-K orientation is set for 5 p.m.). Parents should check the district's website for updates on the situation at Emma Havens Young Elementary School, where a small amount of mold was found on some surfaces in seven classrooms last week. The district was awaiting a final report on air quality testing before making a decision on reoccupying the building.

The 6th-grade locker night at Veterans Memorial Middle School is scheduled to proceed as planned at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, but the 6th-grade locker night at Lake Riviera Middle School has been postponed to Tuesday, Sept. 4, while a remediation company deals with mold found on some surfaces in six classrooms at the school.

Back-to-school nights are as follows:

• Drum Point: Thursday, Sept. 20; Grades 1-2, 6 p.m.; Grades 3-5, 7 p.m.
• Emma Havens Young: Wednesday, Sept. 26; Grades 1-2, 6 p.m.; Grades 3-5, 7:15 p.m,
• Herbertsville: Thursday, Sept. 6; All grades, 6:30 p.m.
• Lanes Mill: Wednesday, Sept. 26; Grades 1-2, 6 p.m.; Grades 3-5, 7 p.m.
• Midstreams: Monday, Sept. 17; All grades, 6:30 p.m.
• Osbornville: Monday, Sept. 24; Grades 1-2, 6 p.m.; Grades 3-5, 7 p.m.
• Veterans Elementary: Thursday, Sept. 20; All grades; 6 p.m. Grades 1-5
• Warren H. Wolf: Thursday, Sept. 27; All grades 6 p.m.
• Lake Riviera Middle: Wednesday, Sept. 12; Grades 7 and 8, 6 p.m.
• Veterans Middle School: Wednesday, Sept. 12; Grades 7 and 8, 6 p.m.
• Brick Memorial High: Thursday, Sept. 27; All grades 6 p.m.
• Brick Township High: Tuesday, Sept. 25; All grades, 6 p.m.
