Brick Schools Cancel Classes For Wednesday

The special Board of Education meeting set for Wednesday has been canceled and will be rescheduled.

BRICK, NJ — School district officials in Brick have canceled school for Wednesday, March 21, due to the ongoing winter storm.

In addition, the special meeting of the Board of Education that had been set for Wednesday night has been canceled as well. District officials said it will be rescheduled.

The district had no emergency closure days built into the school calendar and used two days in January when the first big storm of the winter dropped a foot of snow. This closure means students will have to make up three days at the end of the year. Ocean County was spared during the last two storms that knocked out power to thousands of homes in the northern and western parts of the state and in Pennsylvania and has resulted in more than a week of closures in some districts.
