Brick Schools' Inclement Weather Information

With a snowstorm in the forecast, here's what you need to know about early dismissal, delayed openings and snow days.

BRICK, NJ -- With talk of a potentially significant winter storm headed for the Mid-Atlantic this week, here’s a look at the Brick Township School District’s snow day provisions and inclement weather procedures:

The Brick Township schools’ calendar includes three snow days, with the last day of school tentatively scheduled for June 17.

If the district needs more than three snow days, the extra days may come off spring break, the district calendar says.

If there is a delayed opening, schools will open 90 minutes late, with both high schools opening at 8:30 a.m. and the middle schools opening at 9:10 a.m., according to the district website.

Drum Point, Herbertsville, Lanes Mill and Warren H. Wolf elementary schools open at 9:50 a.m. on delayed openings, while Emma Havens Young, Midstreams, Osbornville and Veterans Memorial elementary schools opening at 10:30 a.m.

For early dismissals, the high schools are released at 11:30 a.m., the middle schools at 12:10 p.m., and the elementary schools at 12:50 and 1:30 p.m.

“Please be advised that bus departures on ’Early Dismissal Days’ may run late due to weather conditions. Based on road conditions, it is possible that buses may arrive at the school behind schedule, thus delaying drop-off times,” the district website notes.

Inclement weather announcements are made on 94.3 FM The Point, 92.7 WOBM FM and Channel 20 BTV.
