Brick Seeks Input On Mainland Storm Plans

The draft plans for the Cherry Quay-Bay Harbor, Midstreams-Princeton and Shore Acres neighborhoods will be presented Wednesday.

BRICK, NJ -- Brick Township residents are invited to a public meeting Wednesday evening on the township's plans for recovery and mitigation and preparation for future storms in its mainland neighborhoods.

Drafts of plans for three neighborhoods severely affected by Superstorm Sandy -- Shore Acres, Cherry Quay-Bay Harbor and Midstreams-Princeton Avenue -- will be presented at the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. in the township council chambers at the Municipal Building.

The preparation and mitigation projects can help the township's ranking in the Community Rating System, which helps to lower flood insurance costs in the community.
