Brick Set To Break Ground On Colorado Park Renovations
The long-awaited work will begin with a ceremony on Wednesday.
Residents in the Herbertsville section of town who have been waiting for years for Colorado Park to be restored to a place that welcomes families will finally see the beginning of that restoration.
On Wednesday, June 10, Brick Township officials will break ground on those renovations with a ceremony at the park that begins at 11:30 a.m.
“We are very excited to get the renovation of Colorado Park underway at the ground breaking ceremony. This project has been a long time in the making and when it is complete Colorado Park will be a great source of pride and enjoyment for residents,” Mayor John G. Ducey said. “I invite any resident who wants to help us kick this project off to attend the ceremony.”

In addition to the Colorado Park Renovation Project, the Township will also be renovation Lake Riviera Park and Angela Hibbard Park on Drum Point Road this year.
“The residents of Lake Riviera and neighborhoods near Angela Hibbard Park have waited patiently for their parks to be renovated,” Ducey said. “They will not have to wait much longer. We are greatly looking forward to breaking ground for their new parks later this year.”
