Brick Students Give Lessons On Upcycling For Earth Week
Upcycling — taking items that have no use or value and repurposing them — can help reduce garbage.
BRICK, NJ — If you're looking for ways you can reuse more items and reduce the amount of trash you throw out, the eighth-graders at Brick's Lake Riviera Middle School have some ideas for you.
The science classes have been taking part in Brick Township's Upcycling Program, which invites all of the district's schools and students to create something with a purpose from old, discarded items that no longer have use or value.
The projects have been on display at various locations, including at Ocean Medical Center last week and they were on display Saturday during the Green Fair at Brick Township High School.
