District calls for delayed opening due to weather

Brick Township school district officials announced a 90-minute delayed opening for Tuesday, Feb. 3 as a result of the flash freeze and frigid temperatures expected overnight tonight, according the announcement on the district’s website.

In addition, the before-school BEST program is canceled because of the delay.

The individual schools’ opening times will be as follows:

  • Emma Havens Young School 10:30 a.m.
  • Herbertsville Elementary School 9:50 a.m.
  • Lanes Mill Elementary School 9:50 a.m.
  • Midstreams Elementary School 10:30 a.m.
  • Osbornville Elementary School 10:30 a.m.
  • Veterans Memorial Elementary School 10:30 a.m.
  • Warren H. Wolf Elementary School 9:50 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
