Brick Teachers, Support Professionals Of Year Honored

The 2023 Governor's Award honors one teacher in each school, along with one educational support professional from each school.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Board of Education honored the 2023 Governor's Educators and Education Support Professionals of the Year Thursday at the board meeting.

Barbara Stansbury, an English teacher at Brick Memorial High School, was named the district's teacher of the year.

The district compiled a video with information about each of the honorees, and the consistent theme among the teachers and ESPs was their effort and desire to connect with students and understanding that all children are different and need to be approached and provided assistance in the way that reflects who they are in a way that meets their specific needs academically.
