Brick Township School Board Election 2020: Meet The Candidates

Patch asked the five candidates seeking the two, three-year terms questions. Here are their answers.

BRICK, NJ — When voters go to the polls Nov. 3, they will be asked to choose two people to serve on the Brick Township Board of Education.

There are five people seeking those two seats, which are three-year terms on the board.

Patch asked each candidate to answer questions to give voters information about who they are and their stances on various issues. We are printing their responses in full, unedited except for spelling or punctuation.

Jessica Clayton is the lone candidate seeking re-election; it would be her second term on the board. Maria Foster is not seeking re-election to the board after one term.

Also seeking election are Melissa Lozada, under the slogan Time for Change; Micah Bender and Melissa Parker, who are running together under the Transparency and Community slogan; and Michael Blandina, under the Brick First slogan.
