Brick Township Schools' District Calendar 2015-16
The new school year begins Sept. 3. Here are dates you need to know.

You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2015-16 school year in the Brick Township Schools.
First day of school: Sept. 3
Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 7

Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 14
Yom Kippur (school closed): Sept. 23

Teacher convention (school closed): Nov. 5-6
Parent-teacher conferences, elementary schools (early dismissal): Nov. 20
Parent-teacher conferences, all schools early dismissal: Nov. 23-24
Thanksgiving eve early dismissal: Nov. 25
Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 26-27
Winter break early dismissal: Dec. 23
Winter break: Dec. 24-Jan. 3 (school resumes Jan. 4)
Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan 18
High school exams: Jan 21-22 (early dismissal high schools only)
Presidents Day (school closed): Feb. 15
Spring Break: March 25-April 3 (school resumes April 4)
Memorial Day (school closed): May 30
Early dismissal: June 14-17
High school exams: June 15-16
Last day of school: June 17
There are three emergency closure days built into the calendar. If they are not used, they will be taken off the end of the school year, at the discretion of the school board, the calendar notes.
If more than three snow/emergency closure days are used, spring break may be affected and schools may be open.
