Brick Traffic Alert: Avoid Lanes Mill Near Brick Memorial HS

Brick Township Police are currently on scene at Brick Memorial High School, 2001 Lanes Mill Road, where a live power line has caused a small fire and some traffic issues in the area.

Sgt. Henry Drew said students were initially sheltered in place to insure their safety but the high school’s dismissal is expected to occur at its regular time today.

Jersey Central Power & Light is repairing the wire, which may cause traffic tie-ups, Drew said, so motorists are being asked to avoid the area if at all possible.

“If you do have to travel in the area, follow the instructions of police and flagmen, and expect delays,” Drew said.
