Trio of Brick Memorial students moves on to county competition

Three members of the Brick Memorial High School Student Government Association competed in the Voice of Democracy Competition, a statewide speech contest run by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, according to the Brick Township School District.
The contest begins at the township level and winners move on to the county competition, where junior Nicole Romaine (first place), senior Nicole Dyson (second) and senior Katie Coryell (third) compete to go to the state competition. The county winners will be announced in a few weeks.
All three winners were honored at the VFW in Brick and received cash prizes and plaques in their honor.
