Prosecutors allege she submitted fraudulent receipts and invoices to support her insurance claims.

BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township woman has been charged with theft by deception in connection with $16,000 in insurance claims she filed in 2015, the Ocean County prosecutor's office announced Friday.
Linda Cainzos, 61, was arrested Thursday, April 4, and charged with two counts of theft by deception, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Cainzos came under investigation by the prosecutor’s office following a referral from the state Office of Insurance Fraud over claims she filed with California Casualty Insurance Company in October and November 2015, the prosecutor's office said.

The prosecutor's office alleges Cainzos had submitted fraudulent invoices and receipts in support of her claims. The case was investigated by detectives from the prosecutor’s Economic Crime Unit.
