Brick Woman Lost Cross Given To Her By Mom; Help Get It Home

The woman said she took it off to go swimming and forgot it; she's hoping whoever found it will return it.

Updated, April 22, 2022: In an email to Patch, Sabrina Jarmolinski said the necklace has been located.

BRICK, NJ — A Brick Township woman is hoping someone will return an irreplaceable necklace that she lost while swimming in a local pool.

Debbie Jarmolinski said her sister, Sabrina, is searching for a gold necklace with a cross pendant on it — a gift from their mother before their mother died of lung cancer.

"I rarely take the necklace off because it makes me feel closer to her despite her no longer being physically present," Sabrina Jarmolinski said.

On Wednesday, however, during a visit to the pool in the Laurelton Woods neighborhood, Sabrina Jarmolinski took off her necklace to just to ensure it wouldn’t fall off in the pool, her sister said.

"I forgot I took it off (because I rarely do) and I left it at the pool," Sabrina wrote in a post Debbie shared with Patch. "I went to check yesterday Thursday, June 27, 2019 but the necklace is no longer there."

"This necklace means the world to me!" Sabrina wrote.

The necklace is the longer chain in the photo above.
