Brick's Free Rabies Shot Clinic Coming Sunday
The township added a grace period for licensing due to the shot clinic delay.

BRICK, NJ -- Brick Township pet owners needing a rabies shot for their dog or cat will be able to get the shots at no cost this weekend, officials said.
And those who had delayed renewing licenses for 2016 because of the rabies shot will have a 15-day grace period, after the Township Council approved the waiver at Tuesday’s council meeting.
The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Drum Point Sports Complex, 41 Drum Point Road. No pet licensing will be available at the clinic, officials have said.

All pets being vaccinated must be on a short leash and accompanied by an adult.
Those who delayed renewing licenses because of the postponed rabies clinic must present proof of attendance at the clinic, under the resolution. More than 400 animals receive their rabies vaccinations at the free clinic each year, the resolution says.
