Broken Gas Pipe Forces Residents From Apartments In Brick: Police
One floor of the building at the Chambers Bridge Avenue residence was evacuated, police said.

BRICK, NJ — About 40 residents of the fourth floor at the Brick Township Housing Authority's Chambers Bridge Residence were evacuated from their apartments Friday morning after a broken gas pipe caused a natural gas leak, police said.
Brick police and firefighters responded to a 9:15 s.m. call that reported a gas leak at the residence, at 175 Chambers Bridge Road.
Police and firefighters found there was a broken natural gas pipe on the fourth floor and residents of that floor were evacuated to the lobby of the building, police said, while the pipe was secured and floor ventilated of the natural gas.

There were no injuries reported, police said.
Residents were allowd to return to their apartments about 10:45 a.m., police said.
