Burnt Tavern Crash Results In Minor Injuries: Brick Police

The crash caused a brief disruption in traffic during the Monday evening commute, police said.

BRICK, NJ — A crash at the intersection of Herborn Avenue and Burnt Tavern Road resulted in minor injuries Monday evening, Brick Township police said Tuesday.

The crash happened when a green Dodge pickup truck that was driving east on Herborn Avenue ran a red light, hitting a gray Infiniti that was southbound on Burnt Tavern Road, Patrolman Keith Donnelly said.

The driver of the Infiniti was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for evaluation but was expected to be released Monday night, Donnelly said. Neither driver was identified.

The collision resulted in detours for a short time, he said.
