Bus Driver From Brick Charged With Promoting Indecent Material

MARLBORO, NJ — A Brick Township man who is a driver for a private school bus company has been arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and promoting obscene material, Marlboro police said.

Dominic Vella, 73, of Brick, was arrested Thursday at Collier High School in the Morganville section of Marlboro, police said. Collier is a private high school that serves students with emotional difficulties and other special needs.

Marlboro police said there was no physical contact between Vella and any of the students and no one was injured. They did not give further details.

Vella was a bus driver with Briggs Transportation, based out of Point Pleasant. He was processed and released on a summons to appear in court.
